Our Mission
At Cockapoo Companion Perfection our mission is to provide a loving and nurturing environment for every Cockapoo puppy. We are dedicated to ensuring that each puppy receives the best care, attention, and training possible to thrive in a forever home.
Our Story
My name is Dianna Sterna. In 2001 our family was introduced to the Cockapoo breed. We absolutely fell in love with this lovable, intelligent, devoted companion that is so good with babies, children and adults. We have had two if not three Cockapoos in our family home at all times ever since. We cannot imagine life without them.
In 2003 we started breeding our beloved Poohbear. We have devoted ourselves to learning how to be responsible breeders and produce high quality puppies. We have invested in genetic testing, OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) certification for eyes, hips and patellas to ensure inferior genetic health traits are not being passed on through our breeding program.
Our puppies are raised in our home and socialized early on with children, adults and other dogs. Our puppies have been introduced to early neurological stimulation exercises and early scent introduction. Temperament traits are assessed starting at age 6 weeks. Evaluations of the puppies personality are made and will assist in helping the puppy selection process.
Our puppies are dewormed as a precaution at ages 2,4,6 & 8 weeks however not all parasites respond to a particular deworming as excess stress of going to a new home can awaken parasites that were previously dormant. Your puppy will be examined by a licensed veterinarian. A fecal test, first age appropriate vaccinations and a microchip with a lifetime registration and an up to date health record will be given on the day they go home with you.. We have no control over the environment and exposures your puppy has once they leave our home, so you will need to follow up with your veterinarian within 72 hours of pickup to verify you have received a healthy puppy. Our puppies come with a one year health guarantee against congenital health defects.
